The symptoms vary slightly by site and also behave differently depending on browsers used. When I checked in to the core module (user) and not getting the username in the validateName validate function, but am getting the password though. Im not sure if this is the same issue or not, but Ive also been having login problems on two of my drupal sites since applying the 6.17 update. Is it related to some caching or permission issue?
